Havilah Resources:

  • A copper strategy targeting annual copper and gold production of 55,000 tonnes and 100,000 ounces respectively, from mining operations to be developed on three advanced projects, namely Kalkaroo, Mutooroo and Benagerie over the next three years.
  • Feasibility studies are in progress on all projects with completion due by the end of 2008, and mining decisions to be made shortly thereafter.
  • Extensive, surrounding exploration tenements in the highly mineralized Curnamona Province of north-eastern South Australia, with good prospects for new discoveries of copper, gold, molybdenum, lead, zinc, cobalt, uranium and tin (Prospect Hill Project).
  • Strategic interests in uranium explorer Curnamona Energy Limited (45.4%), hot rock geothermal explorer Geothermal Resources Limited (63.6%) and Gawler Craton explorer, Monax Mining Limited (10%).

Prospect Hill

Tin 85% JV

South Australia’s largest known tin deposit. Drilling is currently targeting 1Mt of open pit ore on the outcropping tin lode. Good tin recoveries from conventional gravity separation methods.

Benagerie

Copper-Gold
Molybdenum 100%

A several million tonne oxidised copper ore blanket at North Portia and high grade Portia gold deposit planned to be accessed in single operation. Feasibility study and MARP due for completion at end of 2008. Native title agreement signed.

Kalkaroo

Copper-Gold
Molybdenum 100%

Deposit contains >100Mt of copper-gold-molybdenum in an optimised open pit to 200m depth. Glencore International funding $14m feasibility study due for completion at end of 2008, with right to fund mine development for a project interest and metals offtake.

Mutooroo

Copper – Cobalt
Sulphuric Acid
Iron 100%

Lode style massive sulphide deposit, targeting 10Mt of >1% Cu and >0.1% Co in an open pit. Exceptionally high value ore capable of producing appreciable sulphuric acid and iron ore by products. Feasibility study and MARP due for completion at end of 2008.

Oban

Uranium
(Havilah 45.4%
of Curnamona Energy)

Sufficient uranium discovered at Oban to support a modest in situ leach (ISL) operation for several years. Permitting in process for commencement of a field leach trial. High discovery potential in the region for sand hosted ISL uranium deposits in ancient buried river channel systems

Frome

Geothermal Energy
(Havilah 63.6%
of Geothermal Resources)

Drilling for deep granite-hosted geothermal energy reservoirs. Granites in the Curnamona Province are amongst the most radiogenic on earth, with massive heat generating capacity. Planning an 1800 metre deep hole before end of 2008.
